This complicated project involved the construction of a Mansard extension and the complete refurbishment of a six-storey Chelsea townhouse.
Working to a design by Notting Hill-based Gotham Design, the 6,000 sq ft scheme in the heart of the prestigious Cadogan Estate fuses both modern and traditional design features.
In addition to the extension, the house boasts a roof terrace accessed by a new glass and steel staircase. At the top of the staircase a large glass panel automatically slides open allowing access to the terrace.
The refurbishment to the rest of the family home included the fitting of antique marble fireplaces, specialist joinery and a master bathroom clad in Carrera marble.
The scheme, which was turned round in only nine months, also includes state-of-the-art audio visual, including a cinema in the basement, and 'intelligent' lighting throughout.
